He was part of the silver medal winning Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team [3] at the 2004 Summer Paralympics.[4] He was part of the gold medal winning Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team [5] at the 2008 Summer Paralympics.[4]
He was a member of the national team that competed at the 2009 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships.[6] He was a member of the Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team that competed at the 2010 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship [2][7] that won a gold medal.[8]
Grant Mizens plays his club basketball for the West Sydney Razorbacks.[2] In 2010, he was playing club basketball with the Wenty League Wheelkings.[9]
In 2009, he received the Medal of the Order of Australia "For service to sport as a gold medallist at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games".[1]
